Early Training and Influences:

Professor Yao Huanzi: Dr. Shen began his Taiji studies at a young age under the tutelage of the legendary Professor Yao Huanzi, who achieved an unparalleled level of skill, using Taiji forces to prevent others from touching or even approaching him.

Grandmaster Xia Zixin: Dr. Shen later received instruction in a similar method from Grandmaster Xia Zixin, associated with the Southern School of Taijiquan.

Grandmaster Tian Zhaolin: He also trained in the Yang style of Taijiquan under Grandmaster Tian Zhaolin, a principal family student of the eminent Grandmaster Yang Chengfu.

Dr. Shen was also taught by Buddhist and Taoist monks and his grandfather Shen Baotai. For more information about Dr. Shen's lineage, please visit the Buqi Institute website.

The Buqi system was developed as both an exercise and treatment system, the Buqi system is now taught by Dr Shen's daughter, Master Shen Jin, across Europe and the UK. Details of Shen Jin's courses can be found at the Buqi Institute

Dr Shen dedicated his life to the development and propagation of these systems, combining his extensive knowledge of both traditional and modern medicine to enhance health and well-being through these practices.
